|
The European Week 2007 is an information campaign aiming to make safer, healthier and productive workplaces in Europe, by promoting holistic approach to MSDs that integrates both primary prevention and the return to work of those who suffer an MSD. Having the support of the European Commission and Parliament, of trade unions and employers' federations, this annual initiative became one of the most important events dedicated to safety and health at work, in Europe. The European Week provides a unique opportunity to focus attention on the importance of safety and health at work. The main objectives of the European Week 2007 are: to increase awareness of risks associated with occupational MSDs; to promote activities meant to reduce such risks; and to promote good practice solutions. The European Week is coordinated by the Bilbao - based European Agency for Safety and Health at Work and runs in all Member States, EFTA countries and candidate countries. The Agency is the European Union organization responsible for occupational safety and health information. |
